⚠️Important Notice⚠️

We are in the process of switching mail providers.

What does this mean for you?

BlueTone Media is working diligently to make this transition as seamless as possible for all of our customers. If you are current webmail customer you should expect to receive an email detailing the process of our email migration plan. If you have not received the email it can be viewed here.

Starting 5:00pm EST Monday, February 19th, webmail customers will begin to be transitioned over from their current GoDaddy accounts to new accounts in Rackspace.
Customers will be moved over on a domain by domain basis, spilt into three groups, Group A. Group B, and Group C.
Accounts in Group A are expected to be completed by Tuesday 8:00am. Group B by Wednesday 8:00am. Group C by Thursday 8:00am.
During this transition period you may temporarily experience restricted access to your current GoDaddy webmail account.

By Friday, February 16 at 5:00pm you should receive information from your Account Manager, detailing to which group your domain belongs, along with login instructions for both accounts. BlueTone will notify you once your transition is complete, at which point you should then have access to both your former and new email account.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long will I have access to my old account?

Your current GoDaddy webmail account will no longer be accessible as of 12:00am Friday, February 23rd. During this transition period you may continute to view your webmail at email.secureserver.net, but you might experience intermittent access.

Will all the contents of my inbox be migrated?

After the transition process BlueTone will begin migrating the inbox contents of each account over from GoDaddy to the new Rackspace account. However, we are only able to migrate inboxes less than 17GB (17000 MB) in size. If your mailbox is larger than that limit, you will need to backup a copy of your current inbox into local storage in order to retain that inbox content.

How do I back up my email into local storage?

The easiest way to do so is creating a pst file in Outlook or your Mail Client. The following are links to guides for each program:
Outlook
Apple Mail
Thunderbird

After the transition, where will I send/receive mail?

After you are notified your transition is complete you should only send, and should only be receiving, in your new Rackspace account. Your mailbox will likely not have the previous inbox's contents immediately, but they should begin to appear as the BlueTone Team continues with migration.

Where do I log in to my new email account?

After your domain has been transititioned you should be able to login to your new account at email.rackspace.com with the same email address and new password provided by your Account Manager.

How do I add my new account to Outlook, Mac Mail, my phone etc. ?

For detailed access on how to set up your new mail account on your specific device and software, login to the handy Rackspace setup guide here, using your new credentials.

The following are the mail server settings for your Rackspace account

  • Inbound (Secure IMAP)
  • secure.emailsrvr.com
  • Port 993
  • Outbound (Secure IMAP)
  • secure.emailsrvr.com
  • Port 465 or 587

Your username will be your full email address and your password is the temporary one provided to you.

For easy set up on your mobile device, you can download the Mobile Configuration File.

Can I change my password?

You will have the ability to change your password, but please be patient and wait to do so after the BlueTone Migration Team is complete with this process and gives the go ahead. If you change your password during the migration process it might interrupt your email migration, losing the contents of your previous inbox.

I currently have Microsoft 365. Will this have an effect on me?

No, this change will only affect our GoDaddy Webmail accounts. Your account will maintain its current status and level of access.

We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. If you are experiencing issues with your transition please visit the BTM Status Page for more information. For further questions you may reach out to support at 910-795-2280

Checking Your Email

To check your email via the web-based email, simply go to: http://email.YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME.com

All you have to do is swap out the www with email. So if your domain name is http://www.bluetonemediarocks.com, then you would check your email at http://email.bluetonemediarocks.com.
(Please keep in mind that if you have a .org, .net, .us, etc you will need to put that in instead of .com).

At BlueTone Media, we don’t stop helping after we’ve designed your site. Having your website up and running correctly is just as important to us as it is to you. If there’s ever anything you aren’t happy with, contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.
